Taylor Made Office Systems
Barry Taylor co-founded Taylor Made Office Systems, Inc. in 1972 with Lou Gernhardt
.  They grew Taylor made to 9 locations with revenues of $50 million dollars and in June of 1989 AOP purchased the company and Barry continued operating Taylor Made and 1995 he was named Northern California Division President until 1998 at which time Barry Taylor retired from AOP.
Today, Elaine, and Barry's family continue their strong commitment to the Taylor Family Foundation. The pride and joy of the Taylor Family is it's Foundation, which is "committed to preserving the wellness and enhancing the quality of life for children in Northern California with life-threatening illnesses, disabilities, and youth at-risk." Over the last 18 years, the Foundation developed, built, and today maintains Camp Arroyo, a specially built camp for children with life threatening illnesses. To date, over 10,000 children have had the time of their lives at Camp Arroyo. Equally significant, everything has been, and continues to be, at no cost to the camper's family which is often burdened with extraordinary medical bills. For many children, a week at Camp Arroyo is the highlight of their year - a place where they are free to be themselves among peers with the same afflictions or issues, free from ridicule, staring, or self-consciousness, often for the first times in their life. I am so sorry to hear about Barry. He had a great thirst for life and brought a sense of enthusiasm and purpose to everything he did in business and in life. My dad once said, that all you want in the end is to leave footprints in the sand. I believe Barry’s were deep, and impacted many. I think all of us will remember him with a smile on his face and his hand extended in friendship. Thanks Jim, for keeping us all informed. Ed

Our prayers and thoughts are with Elaine and family as we both mourn and celebrate the wonderful life that Barry brought to all who knew him. Barry has been both a personal and business friend since the 70's and he always brought fun and joy when and where ever we met. We will miss him. God bless.
