At the age of 19, he believed the good news of Jesus dying to pay the price for our sins and rising again to make it possible to have eternal life. He accepted the gift God offered and asked Jesus to come into his life. He had great joy in helping others know God's good news. As he was becoming weaker both physically and mentally, with dementia, he still had a strong desire to let people hear the good news of God's love for them through His son. He drove into neighborhoods and gave people he saw a $25.00 gift card to Cracker Barrel with a write up by Reverend Billy Graham that explained how to have eternal life forever with God.
Funeral service was held on Saturday, April 9, 2016 in Eastern Heights Baptist Church with Reverend Harry Sherrer officiating. Burial was held privately in Bulloch Memorial Gardens
