Jon was educated at Butler University and served a stint in the military before he began his business career at Xerox. Starting in sales, his tenure at Xerox afforded him a variety of managerial positions including Major Accounts Sales Manager, Regional Manager for Government, Education and Medical Operations for Central United States and finally Jon became the Xerox Indianapolis Branch Manager.
After Xerox, he became a shareholder in CopyRite, with Don Dudine and Jim Head. CopyRite became the largest privately operated copy machine company in Indiana before joining the AOP group in 1988. Jon served many positions with ALCO including Chief Marketing Officer, as the spokesman (from a marketing perspective) to the Wall Street Investment community, he also helped facilitate IKON’s development of a National Account Program, and initiated the steps for a national training platform which positioned the company to effectively compete in the “upper end” of the market, previously held exclusively by Xerox.
