Prior to joining AOP in 1992, Ed Kane was VP of Sales and Marketing for Ricoh and Savin Corporation.  The first 12 years of his business career were with IBM and he holds a BS in Math and Psychology from St. Francis College.

Ed was with ALCO from early 1992 until 1997, first as President of A-Copy/IKON in New York and later as ALCO Vice President of Operations, responsible for Sales and assisting under-performing companies. 

In 1997, Ed and Bob Kearns founded "Quench", a water cooler company and grew it to become the largest distributor of innowave water coolers in the United States.  They merged Quench with the water companies of Don Dudine, John Peters, Jim Kincer, Rich Bova and Jon King and formed the largest (POU) point of use water cooler company in North America.  Ed retired from Quench USA in 2013.  

After Quench until June of 2014, Ed served as President and CEO of OS Solutions.  OS Solutions is a business consulting company, assisting businesses in improving the quality of employees, streamlining processes and increasing productivity.

Currently, Ed is VP Strategy and Process with Synovia 

Solutions, responsible for directing day to day activities of 


national sales team generating 18 million dollars in revenue


Fleet Management/AVL software solutions.  Additionally,


responsible for improving internal processes that impact


customer satisfaction and organizational efficiency, including


sales compensation plan development, company structure

and overall strategy, post sales support, order processing, 

and CRM compliance.

He and Rita still resides in New Jersey and this year 2015 they celebrated their 45 wedding anniversary.  Ed and Rita  have two grandsons and Ed said; "unfortunately they have some of my personality, hopefully, they will outgrow those traits as they age".
