Rick and his wife Terri still live in Tomball, Texas, a suburb of Houston. After selling his chain of Speedy Print Shops in 1987, he founded NightRider Overnight Copy Service, a photocopying service company that catered to the legal profession. Rick developed NightRider from start-up into a nation-wide company, with offices in every major US city and more than 2000 employees (the largest of its kind, at that time).  He sold NightRider to AOP in 1992 and remained with AOP through early 1994 drring the transition.

After AOP in 1995 Rick purchased an IT company in Atlanta that grew to become "Extreme Logic", an internet company with offices in many US cities. "Extreme Logic" became the Microsoft National Partner of the year in 2000. In October of 2003, Rick sold "Extreme Logic" to Hewlett Packard
Today, he is very active with family,  the community and his church.  Rick, and The Davis family own a very unique restaurant in Tomball, TX called "Main Street Crossing" which is managed and operated by his son Matt Davis.  "Main Street Crossing"  provides food, drink, live music (entertainment) and a meeting place for several church communities, (Take a look at the very interesting website)!
Every Sunday, Rick hosts a radio show called "The Things That Matter Most", on 1160 AM KVCE Dallas/Ft. Worth and 700AM KSEV Houston, where he discusses a wide range of spiritual  viewpoints with insight and encouragement.
