While with AOP, Steve served in many positions including President of Kex CopySource and IKON New York.  He has been in the Office Imaging Industry for more than 38 years and is one of the few Company Presidents in the Industry who came from a Service background. Most of the industry know of Steve, as the president of organizations, that have achieved Ikon’s CEO of the Year awards, or the Global Imaging Systems Chairman’s award. For 15 years, Steve was Vice President of Service and Operations for the largest independent dealer the industry has ever known, A-Copy where he managed a powerful organization with over 25,000 customers and 250 Service personnel.  From AOP, Steve was President and CEO of Capitol Office Solutions, the largest copier and printer dealer in the Metro Washington area, headquartered in Maryland, with offices in Tyson's Corner, VA, and Washington, DC. In 1998 Capitol Office Solutions was acquired by Global Imaging Systems, thus Steve joins Peter Shoemaker and Tom Johnson at Global.

Today, Steve is a
 Senior Partner with BEI Pros in the Hartford, CT area and has developed the industry’s first service training program that focuses on the important areas of the business that will improve profitability. 

Steve is currently one of three partners in the "Pros Elite Group".  The Pros Elite Group is an assembly of the top 100 Independent Dealers in the United States, Canada and Australia.  These Dealers are selected for membership based on their ability to achieve the industry benchmarking models that the "Pros Elite" partners created during their time at Global Imaging Systems.  (See:

BEI Pros' unique program is designed for all levels of service management and has helped improve profitability and operational efficiency in over 100 companies.  

For fun, Steve and his wife, Colleen spend as much time as possible with their five adult children and six grand children.  They split their time as much as possible between their home in Fort Myers Florida and Suffield, Connecticut.

Steve Rolla:  

Some update for us:  "I am one of the three partners of the “Pros Elite Group”.  What was supposed to be something to do between martinis, has become a real company. We recently became the Sales and Service Management training arm for Ricoh’s dealer division. Our execution based software product will launch next year and our Pros Elite 100 dealer group of 83 dealers keeps us running. 

Colleen works 2 days a week as a cardiac RN. We still live in Fort Myers, Florida 9 months out of the year and then return to Suffield CT. during the “furnace days of July August and September” .  I am the most blessed guy on the face of the earth".  What a Ride!!!!!

 

PS: Regarding Peter Shoemakers email: I have the very special pleasure of having benefited from working for and with Peter.  He is every bit as talented as he appears however, He is among the most technically challenged people on the face of the earth.  I bet he wrote that email message on a piece of paper and one of his grandkids sent it to you!!!   

 

Let’s make sure we catch up in the winter months. We just signed up Miller Office Solutions in Louisville.  Our PE 100 client in Cincinnati roles over to Lexington. See you in January.  Stay well.
